Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding refers to bleeding that occurs in the GI tract including the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, and colon. GI bleeding is often considered a medical emergency. STERIS designed hemostasis devices to address various clinical challenges, including upper GI bleed treatment and lower GI bleed treatment. Our hemostasis products are designed to help improve patient outcomes, including hemostatic clips for polypectomy defect closures and recurrent bleeds and injection needles developed to perform in the most tortuous conditions.
